Do you know what’s sooooooooo super cool? Yoga! Duh. ;)

And, even more so, what is sooooooooo super cool is the fact that simple yoga poses can be practiced from a spectrum of viewpoints and levels. For example, I’m teaching bakasana (crow pose) to my athletic yoga pupils at present. And, on the other hand, I’m learning the proper technique of advanced bakasana, taken from headstand, from MY teachers. Yoga is the never ending study, and it’s quite marvelous.

This morning, the sun shined so brightly into my apartment that I decided to film my recent dabblings in the intermediate series of Ashtanga Yoga featuring bakasana from sirsasana ii (tripod headstand), returning to headstand, and jumping to chaturanga. Jumping to chaturanga was something that I thought I’d lost during my two-year yoga hiatus. Last year, when I began practicing again, I tried it and failed each time. Now it’s BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. Every. Single. Time. I land in chaturanga and it feels soooooooo good.

Enjoy Sunshine Bakasana! Namaste!
