This gorgeous viral trend has raised over $3 million for cancer research, and I’m hereby participating!! Cancer Research UK received more than 800,000 text donations in 24 hours after it began sharing the text code for donating on its Facebook and Twitter pages on Wednesday. So here’s my #NoMakeupSelfie!

I love this trend because cancer’s huge in my family, and until the world adopts a whole foods, plant-based diet, cancer will exist; and research will thus be needed!

How does this #NoMakeupSelfie relate to yoga? First off, in my #NoMakeupSelfie, I hate how flab still exists on my arm (hanging over yoga shirt). And I want to show the world that it’s okay to be a chubby yoga girl. I’m working on it, slowly but surely!

Also, before starting my practice in 2009, I was the makeup queen bee. Lots of expensive facial creams, lots of creamy foundations, lots of black eyeliner, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. I was a yoga clown during those early days. Sometime around 2010 I stopped decorating my face, and I became proud to be just me. Yoga did that to me. So here’s the skin regimen that keeps my face soft, smooth, clean, and clear!

1. Yoga.

2. No Dairy.

And here are the products…

The day starts with Phloretin CF by SkinCeuticals because my skin care expert Amanda Manol of Pearl Aesthetic Perfecting Studio says that I need it. And I like how it makes my skin look and feel. Just five little dabs each morning!

Followed by a simple Joe moisturiser. Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Face Lotion.

And UV protection by SkinCeuticals.

I wash my body with Dove soap! It makes me feel pretty like a dove. :)

And I wash my face with Neutrogena Naturals Foaming Scrub. It just feels really rough, but even my face likes a challenge!

… especially when used in combination with the best invention ever. The Clarisonic Mia 2.

I never leave home without DiorShow. Hey! I’m a girly girl!

And if I want to decorate my Lauren Bacall lips, I use something by Chanel. But that’s really only for dates.

And there you have it! Peace out, cub scouts!
